“I have lived in San Diego my entire life in various locations and am currently in El Cajon. I graduated from Helix High School in 1999 and then went to SDSU where I joined Alpha Gamma Omega, a Christian Fraternity. While in AGO I heard about Indian Hills Camp so I decided to serve there for the next three summers as a counselor, lead counselor and head counselor. My nickname from AGO and IHC is “Ratchet” because I like to build things and do home improvement projects. Through AGO and IHC I met and fell in love with my wife of now 8 years, Mandy. In October 2011 we were blessed with our first child, “Tyler William”. It was also at IHC where I discovered my calling to Children’s Ministry and began interning at Jamul under a family friend, Greg Baird. After interning for one year I came on staff part-time, until Greg changed positions and I became full-time. In October of 2012 I will have been serving at JCC for ten years and in June of 2012 I will graduate with a Master of Arts in Children and Family Ministry from Bethel Seminary.
I love all the support from our staff, we are family. We work with each other to push ourselves to new areas of ministry and a deeper walk with God. Also, I am excited to work with our church families to spiritually form children and join with each other on our journey to live as God created us to be.
