Family Summer Nights. Friday July 6th and Friday August 24th. Come for a great BBQ, fellowship, swimming, and a movie under the stars. We will also be baptizing individuals who wish to express their love to follow Christ. Talk to Gary or Craig if you are interested.

2:42 Mini’s starting for Men & Women. Mens group starting Saturday, May 12th @ 6:00pm at the church. The six week mens group will be discussing the 33 years of Jesus’ life as the ultimate model for true authentic manhood. Womens group will be kicking off Saturday May 19th from 8:30-9:45am @ the church. The six week women’s study will travel through the book Captivating discovering what its like to be a beautiful woman whose life can change the world.

1979

Jamul Community Church is formed.
A small group of believers contacted the American Missionary Fellowship asking if they would send an AMF missionary to lead a weekly bible study. Jesse Johnson was sent and began meeting with them. The fellowship grew into JCC and Jesse Johnson became the first pastor. He served until 1990.

1987

Second staff member added
Gary Musser was called to serve as our associate pastor
with an emphasis on youth ministry. In 1991 he accepted
the call to become the senior pastor.

1995

Danny Long was called to serve as our youth pastor
A home of our own is sought.
Negotiations began to purchase land on Jamul Drive. Subsequent construction was provided primarily by members of JCC as we built “our home.”

2001

Addition to the “home” before we move in
As the move-in date to our new building approached, it was apparent that JCC had already grown too large for the site. God’s solution was to provide a second property. New Joy Chapel was closing its doors and wanted to give the property to JCC. It now serves as our offices, youth facility, and wedding chapel.

2002

Finally, no more Sunday morning set-up!
The Spring of 2002 was a wonderful time of celebration as JCC moved in to its new facility on Jamul Drive.

2002-today

Jamul Community Church is a thriving church filled with people who truly care about each other and about God. Our church on Jamul Drive is just a building, but it is the site of much service, activity, and life-change.

Thrive Student Ministry exists to TELL students about Jesus Christ, to bring them TOGETHER with other Christians, to TEACH them how to grow in their faith, TO HONOR God with their lives, and challenge them to give their TIME for His service.
