•Men’s Prayer Group

Men, has the Lord been calling you to prayer? Do you sense a growing desire to draw closer to Him? To see what He will do if we ask, seek and knock? We invite you to join us for prayer and fellowship every Thursday at 7:00-8:00am in the Adult Classroom. Questions? Call Pastor Gary at 619-669-7203.

•Men’s Breakfast

All guys love food, right? Especially a hearty breakfast early on a saturday morning before working on projects at home. Join us every 2nd Saturday of the month from 7-8:30am for food, chatting, and hanging out.

Women’s Ministry

•Women’s Bible Study

•Women’s Prayer Group
This group meets on Wednesdays, from 6:00 – 7:00am in the Adult Classroom. All women are invited to join this group to pray for various needs of our church and its members, our community and its members, and the world in which we live. If you have a need for which you would like prayer, fill out a communication card located in the sanctuary chair seat pockets, and place in an offering box or hand to a pastor. There are also prayer teams located at the right hand of the stage, ready to pray for you at the conclusion of each service.
 
•Tuesday Club
Jamul Community Church’s Tuesday Club is a women’s group primarily for women whose husbands are not believers, or who have been in that situation in the past. However, all are welcome. We meet on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:30-8:30pm at the home of Karla Long (15763 Lyons Valley Rd.). If you have questions, please contact Karla at 669-1344.
 
•Truth & Chocolate
This is an annual JCC women’s dessert event hosted on a Friday evening in May. “Table Hostesses” decorate each table in an individual and unique style making this a fun spring event. Call or e-mail the church office for info, updates, or to purchase tickets.
 
•Women’s Retreat
This is an annual JCC women’s weekend event. It’s held in early October each year. This weekend event allows women to “retreat” from their daily routines and spend time drawing closer to God while fellowshipping with other women and enjoying the beauty of the natural surroundings. Call or e-mail the church office for info, updates, or to get on the retreat mailing list.
 
•The Gift Of Christmas
This is an annual JCC women’s dessert event hosted on the first Friday evening in December. This is a special time of worship that focuses on the true meaning of Christmas. Call or email the church office for info, updates, or to purchase tickets.
 

Stretcher Bearers

JCC Stretcher Bearers is a program through which we minister to the spiritual, mental and physical needs of caregivers. Our purpose is to share one another’s burdens through support and encouragement. This ministry is offered free of charge. Stretcher Bearers meets every 3rd Tuesday @ 7PM, downstairs in the multi-use room. We are here to meet your needs, if you have any questions please contact Barbara Rilling at 468-3114. Childcare not provided.

Multiply

Could your family use free food?  Every Thursday, from 2:30 – 4:30, at the Ministry Center (14866 Lyons Valley Road) JCC offers free food to those in need in our community.  If you, or someone you know, could use groceries, we have an abundance of food to share.  Please call the church at 669-7203 or email craig@jamul.org with questions.

If you are a congregation member that would like to contribute to our food pantry we are in need of canned tuna or chicken, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, jelly, mac & cheese.  Please bring the items to church on Sundays and leave in the container marked ‘Multiply’.

GriefShare

We understand how deeply grief and loss hurt people and families, no matter what the circumstances, grief recovery is a painful process. GriefShare is a place where many people have found that they can begin putting their lives back together again. There is no charge to attend. We do have available a $15 GriefShare workbook “Your Journey From Mourning to Joy.” (Scholarships available.) Call Vicki Lindsay, our GriefShare Facilitator @ 588-4144 with questions. GriefShare meets Tuesdays @ 6:30pm in the Adult Classroom. Childcare not provided.

First Impressions

First Impressions is the “Welcome” Ministry of JCC which include Greeters and Coffee & Donuts attendants. Volunteers serve on a rotation basis and are the “first impressions” of our church for visitors. Does this sound like a ministry for you? If so, please contact Louie Wiliams at 619-771-7773.

Heart to Hearth

If you would like to join Dottie and others preparing meals for those in our church that need help due to medical reasons, please call or e-mail the church office to find out the date of the next get together. You do not need to bring or purchase anything (other than a flexible attitude), just show up at the church kitchen on that date and all materials and food goods will be there.

Fabric of Faith

This is a prayer-quilt making ministry. Don’t miss this opportunity to fellowship as we sew up warmth, comfort and love for others. You don’t need to be a quilter or sewer to join this group. To get involved, contact Sharon Kaleta at 468-3579 or send her an E-mail.

Seniors Ministry

If you are over 50 years of age and would like to be notified about our senior group events and activities, please fill out a communication form and drop it in the offering box or e-mail the church office with regards to our various senior’s events.  All seniors are welcome for our always-delicious lunch in the multi-purpose room every third Thursday of the month.
